She did SO well! She played with the toys in the waiting room, walked back hand in hand with me to the room, and just relaxed on that chair like she had been there before. The hygienist showed her the electric toothbrush and went at it. The funny thing about Sophie, is that she likes to have her teeth brushed, but it seems that darned tongue has a mind of its own! She kept pushing the cleaning apparatus out of her mouth with it. Luckily, the lady was able to clean all of her teeth. She even wanted to play with the electric toothbrush afterward.
When the Dr came in to count her teeth and quickly check for cavities, that is the part that made me laugh! You can see her holding onto the chair for dear life, and looking at the dentist like "What the HECK are you doing to me?!"
Luckily, no cavities and everything looks good :). Afterward, they gave her a toothbrush, a balloon and a toy from the toy machine. As we were leaving the nurses couldn't help but laugh because all they could see from behind their desk was a balloon bobbing away out of the door. Just thinking about it makes me giggle :)
All in all, it was a good experience! Guess that's a good thing, cause we gotta go back in 6 months :)
